Spicy Tuna Stuffed Avocado

The dish is usually served as an appetizer or a light meal and is a popular option for those following a low-carb or keto diet.

Method:

  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 1 can of tuna (or 8 oz of fresh sushi-grade tuna)
  • 2 tbsp gluten-free mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp gluten-free Sriracha sauce
  • 1 tbsp gluten-free soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 green onion, thinly sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: sesame seeds for garnish
  1. Cut the avocados in half lengthwise and remove the pits. Scoop out a small amount of the avocado flesh from each half to create a larger cavity for the tuna mixture.

  2. In a bowl, mix together the tuna, mayonnaise, Sriracha sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, and green onion. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  3. Spoon the tuna mixture into the avocado halves, filling them to the top.

  4. Optional: sprinkle sesame seeds over the top of each avocado half for garnish.

  5. Serve immediately
