Stuffed Grape Leaves with Lamb and Bulgur.

- 1 lb ground lamb
- 1 cup bulgur wheat
- 1 cup chicken or vegetable broth
- 1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1/2 cup chopped fresh mint
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh dill
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 tsp ground allspice
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground coriander
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 jar of grape leaves in brine, drained and rinsed
- 1 lemon, sliced
Preheat the oven to 375°F.
In a large bowl, combine the ground lamb, bulgur, broth, herbs, lemon juice, olive oil, spices, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
Take a grape leaf and place it shiny side down on a flat surface. Place a spoonful of the lamb mixture in the center of the leaf.
Fold the sides of the leaf inward and then roll it up tightly from the bottom to the top.
Repeat with the remaining grape leaves and lamb mixture.
Place the stuffed grape leaves in a baking dish in a single layer. Top with lemon slices.
Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the grape leaves are slightly crispy and golden brown.
Serve hot or at room temperature.
